A Chinese man who entered the country on a tourist visa but was discovered working as a foreman on a construction site was detained by immigration officers in the province of Samut Prakan.
According to news releases the arrests happened at a construction site close to the bridge over Khlong Pad in Moo 12, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province.
On April 27, 2023, at 5:00 p.m., the operation was carried out in response to the discovery of information suggesting the presence of illegal foreign workers. The investigation team visited the construction camp in Village No. 12 of Bang Phli District under the direction of Pol. Col. Chinnawut Tangwonglert, Superintendent of Immigration in Samut Prakan.
