Six employees of a firecracker manufacturing factory near Virudhunagar died in a dreadful blast. An explosion, believed to have happened when mixing the chemicals, leveled down one of the rooms of the facility; destructions and loss, PTI reported.
This made the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Department to quickly move to the scene to put out the fire and avoid more loses. There are indications that negligence in handling of explosive materials may have led to the blast but the cause of the blast is yet to be confirmed an investigation is ongoing.
Manufacturing of fire crackers is a popular business in the area but such occurrence remind the constant issue on safety. Governments all over the world have urged different measures to ensure that such incidences do not happen in the future. The families of the workers affected are supposed to benefit from the state government.
