To support disabled individuals in finding work Blakskill Limited has teamed up with Sightsavers as disability inclusion experts to organize the Lagos Career Fair. Blakskill brought qualified candidates with disabilities together at ‘Inclusive Employment Policies & Workplace Diversity’ to connect them with potential employers.
Through World Bank figures Alasa demonstrates that formal employment at best includes three Nigerians with disabilities. The nation loses more than N10 trillion every year because it excludes disabled people. The national disabled population of Nigeria stands at 30 million people yet fewer than 1 million individuals pursue higher education or trade school programs.
