Within nine weeks of the former US President Donald Trump’s attack during an election rally, there was an attempted assassination yet again. Donald Trump had been playing golf in his Florida mansion when the US Secret Service noticed a muzzle of a gun sticking through the shrubs 400 yards away. The agents shot at the gunman, who fled leaving behind his gun and go pro camera. He was later arrested by the cops and security forces.

Here are few things to be known about the assassination attempt from.

  • According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, after a Secret Service Officer shot at the attacker, he dropped the rifle and fled in a SUV. He left behind his rifle, two backpacks, a GoPro camera and a scope for aiming. 
  • County Sheriff William Synder told the media that after being arrested, the gunman displayed calm behaviour and was emotionless. He never questioned, ‘what is this about?’ obviously law enforcement with long rifles, blue lights, a lot going on. He never questioned it.

Sheriff Snyder said his deputies flooded the northbound I-95 deploying to every exit between the Palm Beach Country line to the South and St Lucie line to the north. They later nabbed the gunman on the highway after setting off after him, stopping, and put him in custody.
