Eligibility for “Opportunity Card 2024”

| Educational Qualification | A University Degree/at least two years of Vocational training in their home country |
| Work Experience | Must have professionally 5 years of experience (gives additional points) |
| Language Proficiency | Either German or English In, German – A2 level B1 to C2 level (1 to 3 points) English – C1 level (additional points) |
| Financial Stability | Sufficient Financial stability or a part-time job (20 hours of work per week) |
Benefits of Opportunity Card 2024

Point System for Opportunity Card 2024
4 points – Professional qualifications. Nurses, engineers, and teachers are permitted to practice.
3 points – Professional experience – 5 years, Vocational Training – 2 years, German proficiency – B2 level.
2 points – Recent work experience and vocational Training, applicants’ age under 35, & German – B1 proficiency.
1 point – applicants’ age under 40, non-tourist stays in Germany (six months at least), English – C1 level/German – A2 level proficiency.
Process of Application
It can be applied at the German Embassy or German Consulate. If he/she already resides in Germany, they can apply at the Local Foreigners’ Registration Office. The following documents should be attached to the Opportunity Card 2024 application.
- Educational and Professional qualification certificates.
- Certificates of Language proficiency either in German or English.
- Financial Stability evidence – Employment contract of Part-time job.
Based on the given documents and the points earned by the applicant, the approval for the Opportunity Card can take from 4 to 12 weeks from the date of application submitted.
