Thousands of farmers from across Uttar Pradesh on Monday protested for their unresolved land acquisition concerns as they assembled outside the Greater Noida authority office. The agitation featured demands for justice and fair compensation.
Spearheaded by the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) and supported by a couple of other major farmer unions, the farmers protest included demands for the right compensation, including 10% developed land and 64.7% enhanced compensation for acquired land.

Rupesh Verma, District President at Kisan Sabha, highlighted that farmers sacrificed their agricultural lands to build the modern city, but got just broken promises and unfulfilled commitments in return.
