IHCL Partners with Ministry of Skill Development to Establish India’s Largest Hospitality Training Centre in Goa

Indian Hotels Company Limited operates as India’s largest hospitality company and has partnered with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to build the nation’s biggest hospitality training facility in Goa after signing a Memorandum of Understanding.

Special guests at the signing included Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant with Mr. Prasad Lolayekar, IAS, and Mr. S S Gaonkar from the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship. As IHCL’s top executive Puneet Chhatwal notes the project fits perfectly with Paathya ESG+ framework and aims to find jobs and strengthen Goa’s tourism sector experience.

The new center will train candidates in basic hospitality jobs by teaching students front office control, room cleaning skills and kitchen preparation plus beverage handling. Participants will have opportunities to apply their skills during industry internships at commercial businesses. IHCL develops its skills training centers across India to achieve 47 locations and aid the hospitality industry’s advancement while creating job opportunities.

IHCL manages 362 hotels and develops 125 more through its listing of famous hotel brands like Taj, SeleQtions, Tree of Life, Vivanta, Gateway, and Ginger. The company runs its hotels in Goa and has done so for five decades while helping to make the state a premier leisure destination in India.
