Gunshots were fired at an election campaign office of US Democratic Party Presidential candidate Kamala Harris. The incident took place just before Harris is scheduled to visit in the Phoenix suburb, causing damage but no injuries were reported.

The investigation is going on by Tempe Police. Reports are saying the police are treating the incident as a property crime since nobody was in the Democratic Party’s office at the time the firearms were used. Videos and images showed two bullet holes in a door and two more in windows of the campaign office.

Similar to this, an incident also occurred at the same office when rounds from a pellet or BB gun were also shot on Sept 16, 2024.

The Arizona Democratic Party coordinator and campaign manager, Sean McEnerney stated, “We are grateful to Tempe Police for coming quickly to the scene and are fortunate no one was present or injured.”

Kamala Harris warns of shooting anyone who breaks into her house

During a live event, Harris went on to say, “If anyone breaks into my house, they are getting shot.” It was an unexpected remark from the usually careful candidate, and after saying this she immediately regretted it. “I probably should not have said it”, Harris later remarked and said that her team would later handle the aftermath.

“My staff will deal with that later”, she added, still amused by her own comment.
