Israel Attacks Gaza After Hamas’ “No Hostage Will Be Alive” Warning

Israel bombed the Gaza Strip on Monday after Hamas fighters warned that no Israeli hostages would leave Gaza alive unless their demands for prisoner releases were met.

On Monday, Israeli strikes hit Khan Yunis, a city in the southern Gaza Strip. Israeli forces also claimed that rocket fire from Gaza hit Israel. 

A fierce fighting between Hamas fighters and Israeli forces had taken place on Sunday around the Gaza City and Khan Yunis. Subsequently, Hamas warned that Israel would not receive “their prisoners alive without an exchange and negotiation and meeting the demands of the resistance.”

According to Israeli authorities, there are 137 hostages in the Gaza Strip. According to human rights activists, there are around 7,000 Palestinians in Israeli jails.

Israel-Hamas conflict

Israel-Hamas conflict started after Hamas militants carried out the deadliest-ever attack on Israel on October 7. The attack killed 1200 people and injured several others. Subsequently, Israel responded with a military offensive. 

According to the Hamas-run health ministry, the Israeli attack killed at least 17,997 people, mostly women and children. 

Months of intense bombardment and clashes have affected peace in the region. The conflict has increased violence against women. Hamas terrorists have kidnapped civilians, including women and children. Many women had been taken hostage by the Hamas militants.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Hamas raped various Israeli women amid the conflict. While US President Joe Biden said that Hamas militants beheaded 40 babies. He told the media, “I have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children.” 

An Israeli woman told the media, “I know Hamas kidnapped girls. They raped women even after killing them.” A survivor of the Hamas attack said that she saw a woman gang-raped by Hamas members.

United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said, “The people who support Hamas are fully responsible for this appalling attack. 

Many celebrities also slammed Hamas for killing people. ‘Wonder Woman’ Gal Gadot condemned the continued holding of women hostages by Hamas fighters in the Gaza Strip. She said, “The world has failed the women of October 7th.” She slammed Hamas for committing crimes against Israeli women.
