kudos to this indore based it firm that supports work life balance
You probably won’t have that desire if you work between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and are unrelated to work once their shift is over if you have a job from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are unrelated to work once your shift is over. However, Indore-based IT companies are strictly against their employees working beyond their official shift hours, a surprise to those who have worked past these hours.
An IT company in Madhya Pradesh called SoftGrid Computers supports a healthy work-life balance and forces employees to go home once their shift ends. Human Resources revealed on LinkedIn that the system sends employees a reminder, informing them of this policy and reminding them that if they don’t leave their computer or stop working, it will shut down after 10 minutes.
This is not a promotional post and this is not an imaginary post. It is a reality at SoftGrid Computers. My employer is supportive of #WorkLifeBalance. They put this special Reminder, which locks my desktop after business hours and issues a warning,” the employee said. HR also revealed that the company restricts official calls or emails outside business hours. This LinkedIn post has gone viral.
The HR department made it clear that this was not an advancement but instead an option for those looking for a work-life balance. The comments section of the post attracted many perspectives, with some showing their approval yet others opining that this would be adverse as it increases the pressure to finish before technology malfunctions. Furthermore, some asserted that such a policy would only work in fields that are not tech-related.
I’m certain that this would be a source of joy for those lower lever employees, but it could also be an immense pressure for those in mid- and senior-level roles. After all, you can only pack in so many meetings into an evening. Finishing up important tasks with your laptop about to give out will add on even more stress.
