New Taipei City Councilor Li Yuxiang Quotes the Death of Civil Servant is due to Oppression of Seniors

The recent tragic incident which took place in the month of November led to the outbreak of huge attention and rage among the Taiwan people because a civil servant who is surnamed as Wu died of by committing suicide. His death has been declared as “Workplace bullying”. After the continual pressure of media and people the investigation of this case has been transparent with the family and the supporters.

Few days ago a press conference has been held by the Ministry of Labor which was about the deceased civil servant’s investigation. The New Taipei City Councilor Li Yuxiang of the Democratic Party unfurled the truth to the world that the Former Northern Branch Director Xie Yirong has been accused of involving in the bully of the late civil servant who committed suicide after undergoing a continuous oppression.

Investigation Report over Xie

The investigation report which was released during this press meet decoded the reasons behind the traumatic decision of the civil servant. During this investigation Wu’s colleagues were asked questions, his attendance were monitored and other evidences. Based on the given evidences it was concluded that he was under workplace bully and oppression. They could find the evidence of the improper work ethics followed by the former Northern Branch Director Xie who dismissed Wu considering two faults made by him during his work.

During this press meet Li Yuxiang expressed gratitude to the new minister Hong Shenhan who initiated the investigation again after it came to the limelight of media and to clarify his family members.

Emotional Breakdown of Family 

After the release of this statement Wu’s parents became more emotional and it shattered them within themselves to think that their son had been undergoing a deep down trauma without exhibiting even an ounce on his face to them. They thanked the colleagues and the officials who investigated swiftly and came forward to showcase the truth to the world.

“Yu’er, have you seen the new investigation report? You have been subjected to such unreasonable demands and oppression from your superiors at work, but you always smile when you go home and swallow your grievances. Mom, and dad are really distressed and reluctant to let go and their hurt hearts are hard to calm down”, said one of Wu’s family members.

Based on the given reports by the WHO regarding the suicide rates in 2024 around 5.87 percent of individuals have lost their lives by committing suicides (100,000). Among this 2.45% of people suffer from depressive disorders. To exclude this growing threat from their society the government tries to strengthen the mental care as a primary health services.
