Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the famous rapper and music producer, was arrested by federal agents in Manhattan New York on Monday night. This arrest was expected to happen on Tuesday but it happened on Wednesday. The arrest of Diddy was occasioned by a grand jury indictment.
Though details of the charges have not been released to the public, it is believed that they may be sex trafficking, racketeering and other related crimes. These charges are linked to several cases of law suits that have been made against Combs, one of which is Cassie Ventura, his ex-girlfriend.
Agents of Homeland Security went to a hotel in midtown Manhattan where Diddy was found. They apprehended him late Monday night. After the apprehension, Combs was taken to the FBI office in Manhattan where she was apprehended.
Prior to his arrest, police raided two of Combs’ residences which are in Miami, Florida and Beverly Hills, California. Such searches were carried out in the course of the criminal investigation process.
The lawyer of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Marc Agnifilo, came out to give a statement concerning the arrest. He says that he has never felt the charges were right and Puffy has been supportive during the probe. Agnifilo urges people not to condemn Combs without knowing the whole truth as a lawyer. He says Diddy is a good man and that he has been framed and wants to prove it in court.
To those who may not be familiar, let me introduce Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs who is a hip-hop artist and an entrepreneur. He has also been in the music industry for more than 30 years and is also referred to as Puff Daddy or P. Diddy.
In the course of the trial, additional information regarding the charges will be revealed to the public. There are high chances that Puff Daddy, will be presenting himself in court, while we may get to see or hear something from Combs or his lawyers. It is still unclear what more information will be revealed in this story in the days and weeks ahead.
