The US economy is still affected by pandemic conditions. But a great deal of the struggle has reduced. Still, job security remains a challenging term for many employees. Major firms such as Microsoft and Boeing are announcing staff reductions.

Tech giant Microsoft is likely to lay off scores of employees at the beginning of this year. The reductions are expected to come from across the company, including its crucial cybersecurity suction. The company is strictly monitoring the performance of its employees.

Managers have been checking the performance of thousands of employees at the company in the recent past. The impending layoffs are confirmed by a Microsoft spokesperson. The company continues to focus on high-performance talent, the spokesman added.

Tech and consumer-focused sectors often feel the brunt of market volatility first, according to the CEO of Imperio Consulting. Last year, the technology sector noted a sizeable number of layoffs as 429,608 people got affected, as per True Up.
