Trump Talks Tough on Immigration in Chat with Elon Musk

After a number of technical hitches along the way, the much-awaited online chat finally saw the light of day on X, after all. The conversation ranged through many topics but, most of all, allowed Trump to express his views on, among other things, immigration. Here’s how it went on:

A Friendly Chat Between Two Big Names

Trump and Musk seemed so chummy during their talk. They heaped praises on each other, with Musk evenfar going so  as to say that he feels Trump is the “right path” for the country. Trump himself grew elated at the support, saying it “meant a lot” to him.

 Immigration Takes Center Stage

Now, with regard to immigration, Trump came all out. He vowed that he will do the “biggest deportation in the history of this country” if he becomes president again. This would align, of course, with his tough stance on immigration from his first term.

While not going into all the details, some of Trump’s past ideas include:

• Bringing back the “Remain in Mexico” policy for asylum seekers

• Revivifying a rule allowing officials to quickly return migrants to Mexico

• Adding more of the border wall

• Making it more difficult to become a US citizen by birth
