Munich Airport is Germany’s second-busiest airport after Frankfurt. It is a key connecting hub for international travel, with several connecting flights to Asia passing through Munich; disruption to air travel here would have far-reaching effects.

The union representative Manuela Dietz mentions that Munich Airport had to close completely during the same strike two years ago. However, the final say will be made by the competent authority on airport operations.

What Travelers Need to Know

Expect delays and cancellations on February 27 & 28.

Check your flight status with your airline before heading to the airport.
